Who we are
Laurel Creek Appliance Repair started in 2022, with one technician, one van, and a simple frustration: too many repair calls in this city felt like dialing a call centre three provinces away. Nobody could tell you when someone would actually show up, or what it would actually cost until the invoice landed.
So we built the opposite of that. A small crew, based right here in Waterloo, who answer their own phone, diagnose the fault before naming a price, and stand behind every repair with a warranty they'll actually honour, because they're the ones who'll be back if it doesn't hold.
We're still small enough that the person who answers the phone knows the person who'll be standing in your kitchen an hour later.
We chose to stay small on purpose. Growing fast usually means handing off the phones to someone who's never seen your street, and handing off the vans to technicians who've never seen your particular brand of appliance before. We'd rather know Waterloo's older homes, its newer subdivisions, and the handful of brands that fill most of its kitchens and laundry rooms, than be everywhere and know none of it well.
That's really the whole philosophy. Diagnose honestly, quote exactly, fix it properly the first time, and warranty the work like we mean it. If a repair genuinely isn't worth the money, we'll say so before you spend any, even if that costs us the job.
